Membership Terms and Conditions            

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING OR RENEWING A MEMBERSHIP. BY BECOMING A MEMBER OF FFG CONNECT YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS.

1.   About Us

FFG Connect is operated by FORBES FAMILY GROUP LIMITED (company number 11621783), a company registered in England and Wales, whose registered office is at Acre House, 11/15 William Road, London, United Kingdom, NW1 3ER ("FFG Connect", "we","us", "our").

3.1 Eligibility
Membership is open to individuals aged 18 or over. By applying for Membership you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3.2 Application and Acceptance
Your Membership begins when we confirm acceptance of your application and receipt of payment. We reserve the right to decline any application at our discretion.

3.3 Membership Benefits
Your Membership entitles you to the benefits described in your chosen Membership Package at the time of purchase. We may update or enhance the benefits available from time to time, but we will not materially reduce the core benefits of an existing Membership without giving you reasonable advance notice.

3.4 Personal and Non-Transferable
Membership is personal to you. It cannot be transferred, sold, or shared with any other person. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials associated with your account.

4.  Fees and Payment

4.1 Membership Fee
The Membership Fee for your chosen Membership Package is set out on our website and confirmed at the time of purchase. All fees are quoted inclusive of VAT where applicable.

4.2 Payment
Payment is due in advance of each Membership period (monthly (for remaining founding members), quarterly or annual, as applicable). We accept the payment methods set out on our website. 4.3 Automatic Renewal
Unless you cancel before the renewal date (see clause 6.2), your Membership will automatically renew at the end of each Membership period, and your payment method will be charged the current Membership Fee. We may send you a reminder at least 14 days before your renewal date.

4.4 Price Changes
We may change the Membership Fee by giving you at least 30 days’ written notice before the change takes effect. If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel your Membership in accordance with clause 6.2 before the new fee takes effect.

4.5 Late or Failed Payment
If payment fails we will attempt to contact you and give you a reasonable opportunity to update your payment details. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Membership if a payment remains outstanding for more than 14 days after the due date.

5.  Your Right to Cancel (Cooling Off Period)

If you are a consumer (i.e. purchasing Membership for personal, non-business purposes), you have a statutory right to cancel your Membership without giving any reason within 14 days of the date we confirm your Membership is active (the "Cooling-Off Period").
5.1 How to Cancel During the Cooling Off Period
To exercise your right to cancel, you must notify us clearly before the Cooling Off Period expires. You can do so by:
5.2 Effect of Cancellation During Cooling Off Period
If you cancel within the Cooling Off Period and you have not asked us to begin providing the Membership services immediately, we will refund all payments made in full within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice.

If you asked us to begin providing Membership services during the Cooling Off Period (by ticking the relevant box at checkout or otherwise requesting immediate access), you acknowledge that you will be responsible for a proportionate payment for the services provided up to the point of cancellation, and any remaining balance will be refunded within 14 days.

6.  Duration and Termination

6.1 Membership Period
Your Membership will continue on a rolling basis (monthly (for remaining founding members), quarterly or annually, as selected) until cancelled in accordance with these Terms.
6.2 Cancellation by You
After the Cooling Off Period, you may cancel your Membership at any time by giving us notice via your account dashboard or by emailing connect@forbesfamilygroup.com with the title CANCELLATION REQUEST. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current paid Membership period. No refund will be given for any unused portion of a current paid period unless we are in breach of these Terms.
6.3 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your Membership immediately by written notice if:

We reserve the right to discontinue FFG Connect entirely by giving you at least 30 days’ written notice. If we do so, we will refund a fair proportion of any pre-paid Membership Fee relating to the period after termination.
6.5 Consequences of Termination
On termination of your Membership for any reason, your access to Member benefits and the Platform will cease. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including clauses 8 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Limitation of Liability), and 11 (Governing Law). We reserve the right to discontinue FFG Connect entirely by giving you at least 30 days’ written notice. If we do so, we will refund a fair proportion of any pre-paid Membership Fee relating to the period after termination.

7.  Member Obligations and Code of Conduct

By becoming a Member you agree to:
We reserve the right to remove any content that breaches these obligations or to suspend or terminate your Membership in accordance with clause 6.3.

8.  Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Content
All content, materials, and resources we provide through the Platform or at events (including but not limited to text, images, videos, presentations, and event recordings) are owned by or licensed to FFG Connect. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit them without our prior written consent.
8.2 Your Content
Where you post or share content on the Platform, you retain ownership of that content. By posting it,you grant FFG Connect a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, and display that content for the purpose of operating the Platform and promoting FFG Connect. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you post. All content, materials, and resources we provide through the Platform or at events (including but not limited to text, images, videos, presentations, and event recordings) are owned by or licensed to FFG Connect. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial purposes only. You must not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit them without our prior written consent.
8.3 Event Photography and Recordings
FFG Connect events maybe photographed or recorded. By attending an event you consent to your image being captured and used by FFG Connect for promotional and community purposes. If you have any objection, please notify us in advance or speak to a member of staff at the event.

9.  Our Obligations

We will provide Membership services with reasonable care and skill. We will use reasonable endeavours to:

10.  Limitation of Liability

10.1 What We Are Not Responsible For
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FFG Connect shall not be liable to you for:
10.2 Cap on Liability
Our total aggregate liability to you in connection with your Membership shall not exceed the total Membership Fees paid by you in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10.3 What We Do Not Exclude
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for:

(a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence;

(b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or

(c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

11.  Data Protection and Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. We process your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Our Privacy Policy explains in full how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data, including your rights as a data subject.

By becoming a Member you acknowledge that we will process your personal data for the purpose of administering your Membership, providing you with Member benefits, and (with your consent where required) keeping you informed about FFG Connect news and events.
While no system is completely secure, we take data protection seriously and continuously work to maintain appropriate safeguards.

12.  Events Outside Our Control

We will not be in breach of these Terms or liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to acts of God, pandemic, civil unrest, government action, or failure of third-party services). We will notify you as soon as reasonably practicable and take reasonable steps to minimise the impact.

13.  Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any material changes by email or by a prominent notice on the Platform. If you do not accept the revised Terms, you may cancel your Membership before the changes take effect in accordance with clause 6.2. Continued use of your Membership after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14.  Complaints

If you have a complaint about your Membership or the services we provide, please contact us in the first instance at connect@forbesfamilygroup.com with the title COMPLAINT. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 28 days.

15.  General

15.1 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that ifyou are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your home jurisdiction.
15.2 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and FFG Connect in relation to your Membership and supersede all previous agreements, representations, or arrangements, whether written or oral.
15.3 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions will continue to have full force and effect.
15.4 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right under these Terms on a particular occasion shall not constitute a waiver of that right on any future occasion.
15.5 Third Party Rights
These Terms do not confer any rights on any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
15.6 Assignment
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to a third party (for example, in the event of a business sale or restructuring), provided that such assignment does not materially affect your rights. We will notify you if this occurs. You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
The Company reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions from time to time as it sees fit and your continued use of the site and or app will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these Terms and Conditions.
